Donald R. Howard III

Donald R. Howard III - Age 66, of Swartz Creek, passed away June 16, 2026. Visitation will be held from 6PM-8PM on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel- 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek with a rosary being prayed at 7PM. Interment will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery.

Donald was born August 25, 1959, in Madrid, Spain to Donald R. and Carole A. (Mark) Howard Jr. He was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek and an avid sports fan. Donald loved watching football, basketball, hockey, and the Detroit Tigers. Some of his favorite days were spent with his mom and brother, watching sports televised and live.

Every Thursday, he attended the Legacy Center Club House program, where he enjoyed playing Xbox Bowling and joining in on activities with the community. Donald also looked forward to the annual Flint community dance, where he was a regular attendee.

Donald is survived by his mother Carole (Mark) Howard; brother Jeffrey (Darlene) Howard; nieces Stefanie and Ashley; nephews Jason and Austin; sister-in-law Renae Howard; and great-uncle to Victor and Celeste Rodriguez.

He is preceded in death by his father Donald R. Howard Jr.; brother Doug Howard; and infant sister Julie Ann Howard.
