Donald Lee JEFFERS

JEFFERS, Donald Lee - age 81, of Linden, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence. Services will be held 1 PM Friday, September 28, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor Gary Insley officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 11 AM until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association or to a Michigan Conservation Association. Mr. Jeffers was born October 19, 1930 in Flint, the son of Donald Francis and Ida May (Streeter) Jeffers. He was a 1948 graduate of Grand Blanc High School. Mr. Jeffers was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Darlene Vredevoogd on June 28, 1952 in Grand Blanc. Mr. Jeffers retired from General Motors in 1988 after 39 plus years of service as a Tool and Die Maker. He was a long time resident of Linden and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are: wife, Darlene of Linden; two sons, Dennis Jeffers and wife, Kim of Gaines, Christopher Jeffers of Flint; daughter-in-law, Vickie Jeffers; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, James Jeffers and wife, Mary of Linden.
