Donald Lamay

LaMAY, Donald Barth - Age 88, of Linden, died Wednesday, December 25, 2019.  Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden.  Pastor Brad Foster officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 11 AM until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Barth was born December 23, 1931 in Flint, the son of Vernon and Dorothy (Coffee) LaMay.  He was a 1950 graduate of Mt. Morris High School.  He served in the National Guard.  He married Elaine Simon Phillips and she preceded him in death.  He retired from GM Buick Motor Division.  Barth enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are: son, Greg LaMay of Burton; daughter, Lynn Ashley (James Davidson) of Burton; granddaughter, Katelyn Ashley of Burton; step daughters, Brenda Romeo, Marcia Torrey, Susan (Larry) VonWald, and Judy (Rick) Toldo all of Linden; step grandchildren, Steven (Melanie) Hall, Lanie (Shawn) Brown, Kris Hall and Brandon (Stephanie) McDowell; and several great grandchildren; brother, Douglas (Elaine) LaMay of Las Vegas, NV; and nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy LaMay; sisters, Shirley Marra and Betty Rose.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
