Donald Lawrence PFUNDT

PFUNDT, Donald Lawrence -- age 78 of Flint, Michigan went to be with the Lord September 22, 2012. Cremation has taken place per Don's request and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to Carriage Town Ministries. Don was born June 5, 1934 in Ottisville, Michigan. He was the son of Lawrence and Eva (Lee). On January 21, 1956 he married Edith Evans. They had three children, Don (Laurie), Daniel (Gretchen), and Tamara McAlindon. Don served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a master plumber and Journeyman Pipefitter. He retired from Buick City in 1998. Don was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Don enjoyed golfing, hunting, telling jokes, boating, laughing and sharing his love and joy with all. He had a true love for children. Don is survived by his wife of 56 years, three children as well as by his brothers, Dale (Gwen) and Norman. Grandchildren Melissa (Dan) Longnecker, Tiffany (Stephen) Pokora, Jon (Rachel) McAlindon, Chris McAlindon, Katie McAlindon, Daniel McAlindon, Ian McAlindon and great granddaughters Eva Longnecker and Merrick McAlindon. He is also survived by his dog Yukon, as well as other family and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Maxine, Lucille and Dorothy. Don will be greatly missed.
