Donald Pad Robinson, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the age of 83. Born on June 23, 1942, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Don lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family, friends, and country.

Don grew up in Michigan and graduated from Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn and attended Detroit College of Business. His career was influenced by a passion for gardening and landscaping which began in his youth. This shaped his professional journey as he excelled in sales and management roles at Frank's Nursery. Over the decades, Don built a successful career in both retail and wholesale management positions, earning respect for his skills and dedication.

A proud veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War era, Don served his country with honor. He cherished the freedoms he fought for and upheld American values throughout his life. His pride in his military service was evident to all who knew him.

Don's artistic talents were expressed through his folk-art creations and his extensive collection of Donald Duck memorabilia-a hobby that earned him the endearing nickname "Duck." He enjoyed "junkin'," finding treasures and unique items to add to his collections, and enjoyed his home with his fur babies: Daisy, Bear, and Buka. Summers were often spent golfing and camping in Petoskey, where he relished sunny days and evenings by the campfire with family and friends.

Known for his wit, charm, and adventurous spirit, Don embraced new experiences and challenges with enthusiasm. He had a knack for pranks-both playing them and being their good-natured target-and brought joy to those around him with his humor. His loyalty to his loving wife Jeanne Lynn Bartel Robinson, family members, and friends was unwavering.

Don is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne; his brother Jeff Dickeson; sister Carol Kieronski; brother-in-law Harvey Bartel; sisters-in-law Brenda Bartel and Mary Sapyta; nephews and nieces Brent Bartel, Blake (Melissa) Bartel, Brandon (Jamie) Bartel; Heather, Patrick, and Brent Dickeson; Linda (John) Coles; Karen (Lonnie) Lee; special friend, Deb Townley; as well as many great nieces and nephews, and cherished friends of all ages. He was predeceased by his parents Pad and Elsie Robinson, parents-in-law Harvey E. Bartel Sr. and Alberta Bartel, and loving cousin Jerry R. Miniard.

Don’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, creativity, and devotion. May those who knew him find comfort in remembering the joy he brought into their lives.
