Tebo, Donald Richard - Age 84, of Flint, died August 8, 2023. Funeral services will be held 4 PM Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. (A live stream will be available on Donald's webpage at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com (http://www.sharpfuneralhomes.com/)) Visitation will begin at 1 PM until the time of the service at 4 PM at the funeral home. A private family committal service will be held on Monday September 18 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. In Lieu of flowers contributions in Donald’s name can be made to the National Psoriasis Foundation.
Donald was born May 17, 1939, in Flint, the son of Richard Albert and Dorothy Mae (Case) Tebo. He married Kathleen L. DeWeese on August 21, 1959, in Flint. They were married for 63 years until her death on November 20, 2022. Donald was a veteran of The United States Air Force and The Michigan Air National Guard. He retired from General Motors and EDS after 41 years of service.
Donald served on the Carman Ainsworth School Board of Education, which included a term as president. He was instrumental in overseeing the successful consolidation of the district during his tenure. He was a former member of the Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge 458 and a former Shriner as a member Elf Khurafeh Shrine. He served as Cub Master for Pack 273 and volunteered with Boy Scouts Troop 73. During his life Don was a member of The Old News Boys, Ainsworth Athletic Boosters and served as president of the Ainsworth Band Boosters. He was a member of First General Baptist Church.
Donald is survived by his three sons, Richard (Wendy) Tebo of Prosper, Texas, Michael (Lois) Tebo of Davison, and Jefferson (Amy) Tebo of Gaines; grandchildren, Emily Tebo, Hannah (Nathaniel) Sierra, Michael Tebo, Joshua Tebo, Jacob Tebo, Matthew Tebo, Lindsay (Nathan) Sarria, Sydney (Noah) McLaughlin; great grandsons, Desmond, Cameron and Jackson; 2 brothers, Gerald (Susan) Tebo of Union, Missouri, Douglas (Michele) Tebo of Fenton, MI; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen, his parents, Richard and Dorothy Tebo, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russell and Dora Mein, sisters-in-law Ruthann Lockwood and Patty Garges.
