WHITMAN, Donald R. - Age 86, of Burton, died June 4, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday. Donald was born June 21, 1926 in Brampton, MI, the son of John and Emaline (Tucker) Whitman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Whitman retired from General Motors in 1980 with 25 years of service. Surviving are: wife, Luella; children, Gary Whitman, Donald R. Whitman Jr., Catherine (Gerald) Johnston, John Whitman; four granddaughters, Katrina, Samantha, Garyelle, Tymarie and great-grandchildren.
