WRIGHT, Donald Lee -- Age 82 of Swartz Creek, died April 1, 2014, with his family by his side, at Fenton Health Care, Fenton. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11AM Monday April 7 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Rd., Burton. Fr. Steve Anderson celebrant. Military Honor services held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly following the mass. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. Visitation will be at the church 10AM until time of mass. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Donald was born November 21, 1931 in Flint, the son of Harry O. and Madeline (Larmor) Wright. He married Margarette McCabe on September 10, 1951 in Flint, she preceded him in death December 6, 2012. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War. He worked as an Accountant for GM for 37 years retiring in 1987. Donald resided in Swartz Creek for the past 50 Years. He was a member of the American Legion Swartz Creek Post 294 and also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 10170. Surviving are: 4 children, Christopher (Janis) Wright of Flint, Dawn (Gary) Vitous of Swartz Creek, Theresa (Rick) Dieck of Swartz Creek, Donald Wright Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; 2 sisters, Jean Carlson and Sally Krug. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margarette; son, Robert Wright; 2 brothers, Robert Dietrich and Richard Dietrich.
