Donna Lou McCoy

McCoy, Donna Lou - Age 84, of Flint, died December 28, 2025. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell. Visitation will be held 11 AM until time of the funeral at 1 PM on Wednesday, December 31. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Animal Control, 4351 Pasadena Avenue, Flint Michigan 48503.

Donna was born December 19, 1941 in Flushing, Michigan, the daughter of Michael and Irene (McMillen) Gorecki. Donna married James Neylon "Neal" McCoy on July 30, 1960. He preceded her in death October 26, 2010.

Donna retired from K-mart with 20 years of service. She then worked many years in Home Health Care. She enjoyed classic movies and her flowers. She had a great love of animals. Most importantly she loved and cherished her family.

Surviving are: four children, Kenneth McCoy, Kathleen (Robin) Robinson; Robert McCoy, Barbara (David) Powell; grandchildren, Heather McCoy (Cliff Cleary), Shannon (Ron) Sauer, Ryan Robinson (Jaclyn Rucinski), James Schlund, Travis Robinson, Tyler Slavik, Caleb (Jasmine) Robinson, Summer Ferguson ( Jamie Discher); many great-grandchildren; sister, Michel (Gordon) Chambers; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Michael and Irene Gorecki; husband Neal McCoy; and daughter Connie Sue.
