Doris Aileen Cox

Cox, Doris Aileen - Age 98, of Swartz Creek, passed away August 7, 2026. Visitation will be held from 3-4 PM Monday August 10, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Michigan 48473. There will not be a formal service in Michigan. A Graveside service will be announced to be held at a later date at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky.

Doris was born February 2, 1928 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of Alex D. Combs and Matilda (Tyree) Combs. She was married to Carl Cox on October 18, 1947; he preceded her in death March 13, 1995. She was very active in her church in Kentucky. She loved life and was a people person. She had a warm, welcoming personality making everyone drawn to her.

Surviving are: Daughter, Pamela Morgan; grandchildren, Jeff (Carol) Morgan, Kelly (Larry) Hunt; great-grandchildren, Zack Hunt, Spencer (Taylor) Morgan, Troy Morgan, Emily (Christian) Huffman, Riley Hunt; sister, Ruth Baker; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
