Doris Jean Gould (“Mimi”), age 91, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026. She was born on October 10, 1934, and lived a long life filled with love, laughter, family, and cherished memories.

Mimi was a devoted mother to her daughter, Jan, and son, Terry; a loving grandmother and great-grandmother; and the heart of a family spanning five generations. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

She had a special passion for gardening and found great joy in tending her flowers and plants. Her gardens reflected the care, patience, and beauty she brought to the lives of those around her.

To know Mimi was to love her. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She always seemed larger than life. She thought she would live forever—and so did the rest of us. It is difficult to imagine a world without her, but we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, George and Corbel Adams of Kennett, Missouri.

She leaves behind her daughter, Jan, and son, Terry; grandchildren Kim, Adam, Takara, and Chelsea; great-grandchildren Bobby, Sammi ,Maya, Hannah, Tyler, Dylan, Ayden, and Atlas; great-great-grandchild Wyatt; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Through five generations, Mimi’s legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will continue to live on.

In honor of Mimi’s love of gardening, the family invites those who wish to remember her to plant a rose in her memory. May it serve as a lasting reminder of the beauty, love, and joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the years, memories, and love we shared with her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Rest easy, Mimi.
