SULFARO SKINNER, Doris - Age 79, of Fenton, formerly of Flushing, died January 14, 2017. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, January 20, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a vigil service at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of Mass Friday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Doris was born February 28, 1937 in Detroit, the daughter of Herbert and Ruth (Wittenberg) Wagner. She was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, where she met her husband, Tony Sulfaro. After earning a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Education she taught at St. Robert Catholic School in Flushing for 30 years. Doris was an active member of St. John, Fenton. She is survived by her husband, Tom Skinner; children, Dr. Steven (Lori) Sulfaro, Susan Sulfaro, JD (Bill Smeal), Mary (Dr. Matthew) Turchi, Dr. Michael (Valerie) Sulfaro; grandchildren, Melanie Sulfaro, Joseph Sulfaro, Daniel Sulfaro, John Sulfaro, Julia Smeal, Catherine Smeal, Bernadette Turchi, Steven Turchi, Anthony Sulfaro and Regina Sulfaro; sister, Jean Pagel; loving nieces and nephews.
