Doris E. Sturgeon

Doris E. Sturgeon, of Flushing, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at her home. She was 89 years old.

Born February 8, 1936 she was the daughter of Eric and Alma ( Forsberg ) Anderson. Doris married William Ross Sturgeon on April 14,1956 in Flint, and they spent the next 67 years together raising their children and grandchildren, until he passed in 2023. Doris was a homemaker, but also enjoyed working at various times in retail in the Ladies Department at different stores. She loved her casino trips with her sidekick Ardy, but most of all she cherished time spent with her family.

Doris is survived by two daughters, Kim Marie Ouimet and Kelly Lee Sturgeon; six grandchildren, Tony, Samantha (Shane), Morgan, Amanda, Gabi and Keith; three great granddaughters Lucy, Emma, and Reagan as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Sturgeon, son Michael Sturgeon, daughter Katrina Bryan, one brother Robert and her sister Thelma.
