Doris L. Tomczyk

Doris Lorraine Tomczyk-Erickson, age 94 of Swartz Creek, Michigan passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at home with family at her side. Visitation will be held at 10am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11am on Monday, March 23, 2026 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road in Swartz Creek. Doris will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Stanley at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Lorraine, as her friends called her, was born on September 23, 1931, in Flint Michigan to Clayton & Genevieve Erickson. Lorraine married the love of her life, Stanley Tomczyk on October 1956.

Out of high school Doris worked 9 years at General Motors in the payroll department.

Lorraine spent summers at the lake raising her family. Raising five boys was a full-time job. Lorraine loved traveling with her husband Stan. Lorraine’s career was her family. Husband, children, sister, brother, and all of her connected family. She was truly committed to her family.

Lorraine is survived by her sons, Edward (Anna Marie), Andrew (Venus), Michael (Elaine), Theodore (Laurie), and Stanley Paul (Alison), 17 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and brother Clayton Erickson. She was preceded in death by her father Clayton Erickson, mother Genevieve (Ted) Stefaniak, husband Stanley Tomczyk, and sister Phyllis McCall.
