Dorotha Johnson

JOHNSON, Dorotha Louise - Age 98, of Gaines, died Monday July 3, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday July 7, at Gaines United Methodist Church, W. 117 Clinton St., Gaines. Reverend Tara Sutton officiating. Visitation will be held 4:30PM - 8:00PM Thursday and 10 AM until time of service Friday at the church. Mrs. Johnson was born September 29, 1918 in Parkersburg, WV, the daughter of James F. and Lillian (Dowler) Simmons. She married Otis L. Johnson in 1936 and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2000. Surviving are: three children, Rev. Eric (Karen) Johnson of Gaines, James Johnson of Harsens Island, MI, and Karen Panke of Milwaukee, WI; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; brother, James; sister, Frances; daughter-in-law, Nina Johnson; and three grandchildren, Kimberley, Jim and Jack Johnson.
