Dorothy Burley

BURLEY, Dorothy Ruth, age 93, of West Branch passed away November 2, 2019, on what would have been her 73rd wedding anniversary. Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden with Rev. Ronald Osborn officiating. Interment at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please follow Dorothy's example and perform an act of kindness or give a donation to your favorite cause or charity.
Dorothy was born September 17, 1926 in Flint, the daughter of Donald and Hazel (Bell) McMillan. She married Willis "Buck" Burley on November 2, 1946. Dorothy retired from the cashier's office at Hurley Medical Center. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, fishing, traveling, dancing, and going to the casino.
She is survived by her three daughters, Peggy (Lee) Rouse, Lorry (Sieg) Hein, and Rebecca (David) Jess; son, William Burley; many grandchildren,  great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis; daughter-in-law, Corrine; granddaughter-in-law, Amanda and great-granddaughter, Sophie Grace; and all her siblings. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
