NEWSTEAD, Dorothy Jane -- Age 94, of Flint, died December 28, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 4 PM Sunday, December 30 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation from 1 PM until the time of service Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Redeemer or the Genesee County Humane Society. Dorothy was born April 12, 1918 in Manistee, MI, the daughter of Frederick and Mary (Kavilick) Novotney. She was married to Raymond Joseph Newstead who preceded her in death in 1985. She had worked for the Fair Store and attended Holy Redeemer for years. Surviving are: daughter Arlene and husband Michael Adams; grandchildren Jennifer (and husband Matt) Hornak, Jessica (and husband Brian) Fox, Michael Adams (Greg); great-grandchildren, Julia Hornak, Brian Fox; and her beloved cat Bozo.
