PETTIGREW, Dorothy Darlene - Age 83, of Swartz Creek, died September 18, 2014. Services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10-12 PM Saturday. Dorothy was born January 12, 1931 in Sikeston, MO, the daughter of Jess and Irene Rodgers. She was employed by Flint Memorial Hospital. Dorothy was known most for her caring and giving heart. Surviving are: husband, Billy; daughters, Jill Pettigrew and Jackie Pettigrew; grandchildren, Kara Pettigrew, Cort Pettigrew and Jessica Colt; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Lexi, Troc, Teddy and Kalum; siblings, Diane Early, Gary Rodgers, Bonnie Campbell, Donna Gibbs, Marilyn Pifer; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; second Mom, Violet Rodgers; son, Matthew Pettigrew; brothers, Bill and J.D. Rodgers; great-grandson, Tyler Holbrook.
