HILL, Douglas L. Sr. - age 74, of Flint, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Genesys Health Park. No service planned at this time funeral arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. Mr. Hill was born April 28, 1936 in Bancroft the son of the late Vernon and Dessa (Ireland) Hill. He married Sharon Childes on June 26, 1965 in Corunna. Douglas enjoyed NASCAR racing and wresteling. Mr. Hill served his country in the Air Force. He retired from GM Truck and Bus plant with 33 years of service. Surviving are; wife, Sharon of Flint; children, Allen Hill of Battle Creek, Elizabeth (Michael) Lizotte of Flint, Douglas (Chrissy) Hill Jr. of Swartz Creek, Stephanie Rodabaugh of Flint, Shray Hill of Flint and Menzel Hill of Flint; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Glays Hill of Durand; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his 5 siblings.
