Douglas Neal LOVEJOY

LOVEJOY, Douglas Neal - age 69, of Owosso, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Services will be held 5 PM Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Durand VFW, 923 N. Saginaw St., Durand. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service at the VFW hall. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family. Douglas was born March 12, 1944 in Flint, the son of Carlysle J. and Beatrice (Wickham) Lovejoy. He was a 1962 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. Douglas was a veteran of the U.S. Army Special Forces as a Green Beret where he fought honorably for his country . Surviving are: son, Jeremy Klein of Fenton; mother, Beatrice Lovejoy of Durand; sister, Lois (Ernest) Lawrence of KS; brother, Dennis (Linda) Lovejoy of Lennon; many nieces and nephews also survive. His father preceded him in death. Arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek.
