Douglas Allen Weaver

April 24, 1951 — December 23, 2025

Grand Blanc

Douglas Allen Weaver passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 74 on Tuesday December 23rd 2025. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.

Doug was born on April 24th, 1951, in Manistee, Michigan, to Leroy and Bernice Weaver. From the very beginning, his life was shaped by the quiet beauty of the forest around him. The steady presence of the woods, the pull of the water, and the simple peace found outdoors. Those places stayed with him always and became part of who he was.

At 20 years old, Doug married Donna (Randolph), beginning a marriage built on love, loyalty, and perseverance that lasted 54 years. Together, they created a life rich with meaning and love, raising four children and later finding joy in their ten grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in Doug’s heart.

Doug spent many years working at General Motors, providing for his family with dedication and pride. When he retired, he finally was able to slow down enough to savor the moments that mattered most to him, hunting, fishing, and time with the family he worked so hard to build.

Doug was like a steady northern river, quietly strong and deeply rooted. He was never more himself than when hunting/fishing with his children, grandchildren, and lifelong friends Barry Eaton and Don Branson. He loved to eat meat and cheese, drink ice mountain water, sit in his chair and play his ipad while watching old western’s or hallmark movies, tie flies, make fishing poles, bowl, listen to music, watch the orioles eat the grape jelly he put out, watch his grandchildren play sports, hunt, fish, and to joke around with his wife.

Doug’s life cannot be measured by his accomplishments alone, but by the love he gave, the steady presence he offered to those who knew him, and the legacy he left behind.

Like a hunter who knows when to rest, like a river finally meeting the lake, Doug has laid down his burdens. ”Don’t worry the banks of the river are soft, green, easy to rest on.” -Chris Hampton

Though his chair may now sit empty, his presence remains, in the quiet of the woods, in the stillness of the water, and in the hearts of all who loved him.

Doug is survived by his beloved wife, Donna (Randolph) Weaver. His siblings Clare Weaver (wife Celia), Carol Ann (husband Bernard Andreni) and sister in law Trisha Frick (husband Ken Frick). His children Randy Weaver (fiancee Rebecca Brown), Terry Weaver (wife Stephanie Weaver), Kelly Chiles (husband Aaron Chiles), and Brad Weaver (wife Jennifer Hertzberg-Weaver). His grandchildren Mackenzie Weaver, Savannah Weaver, Braeden Chiles, Logan Weaver, Jillian Weaver, Isabella Weaver, Rory Chiles, Claire Weaver, Greyson Weaver, Emerson Weaver. And beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Leroy Weaver, mother Bernice Knack (Weaver), brother Leroy Weaver, and sister Maxine.
