FITZGERALD, Dwight David - Age 65, of Fenton, died Saturday, December 23, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, December 29 at Andrew G. Schmidt Middle School, 3255 Donaldson Dr, Fenton. Pastor Wes Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to the Dwight D. Fitzgerald Memorial Fund c/o Rosemary Fitzgerald. Dwight was born January 18, 1952 in Flint, the son of Leo and Iris Fitzgerald. He was a 1970 graduate of Adrian High School. Dwight received his Bachelor Degree in Education from Central Michigan University; and also received his Master Degree in Administration. He married Rosemary Neely on February 13, 1999 in Las Vegas, NV. Mr. Fitzgerald retired from Fenton Community Schools after 33 years. He then was a substitute teacher for Lake Fenton High School. Mr. Fitzgerald coached many sports. He taught Driver's Training School for Fenton Community Schools and Ace Driving School. Surviving are: his beloved wife, Rosemary; 4 children, Alexander David Fitzgerald & Casey Wilson of Swartz Creek, Tyler Adam Fitzgerald, Victoria Marais "Tori" Fitzgerald, and Ashtynn Marais Fitzgerald all of Fenton; 2 grandsons, Roland Sawyer and Silas Finn Fitzgerald; mother-in-law, Betty Neely of Grand Blanc; brothers-in-law, Ralph (Debbie) Neely of Grand Blanc and Ronald Neely of Grand Blanc; niece, Sarah; nephew, Joe; and many dear friends.
