Earl Wuestnick lll, age 64 of Linden, passed away unexpectedly on July 10th of complications due to diabetes. Earl was born Dec.18, 1959 in Northville to Earl and Irja (Vi) Wuestnick. He graduated from Northville High School class of 78'. He attended Hope College earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. He graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering and also earned his teaching certificate. Earl started his career as a Teacher following in his parents footsteps as Educators. He served the Lake Linden district in the Upper Peninsula from 1986 to 1988. Earl Married Lori Rastello in 1987 and together they had 2 children Earl IV (Collin) and Alayna. Earl went on to receive his Masters in Environmental Eng. from Wayne State University as well as a certificate in Hazardous Waste Management.

Earl moved to Linden and began his Engineering career in 1988 working at the Genesee County Water and Waste treatment plants in Montrose and Linden, retiring after 23 years in 2011. After retirement, he went back to teaching and worked for the DEQ of Lansing as an Environmental Specialist in wastewater operator certification from 2011 to current. He made many great friends throughout his career. Earl was the definition of a hard working man, and was a great provider.

Earl was a family man and loved his children dearly. He had a kind heart, was always selfless, and devoted his life and time to his kids. He always played jokes and knew how to make them smile. They were his true pride and the light of his life. He was also very proud of his father Earl Jr's service in the Navy during WWII. Earl was an outdoorsman and enjoyed going on hunting trips and outdoor adventures with his son Collin. He was a member of the Fenton and Linden Sportsman's Clubs. He enjoyed ATV riding in the U.P., riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, skiing, jetskiing, and pontoon rides, and took his family on many vacations and weekend getaways. He was always working on new projects in the garage, and was mechanically inclined. Earl always had a soft spot for his pets, having several canine and feline furry friends throughout his life whom he loved to spoil and created special bonds with.

Earl traveled the world with his parents as a lad and was looking forward to enjoying his retirement with more travels in the near future.

Collin and Alayna are very proud of their Father's choice to be an organ donor. With the help from Gift of Life and Genesys Hospital, an Honor Walk was held and Earl was able to give the gift of life to recipients in need. Many thanks to the friends, family and hospital staff that were a part of the Honor Walk.

Earl leaves behind his beloved children Collin and Alayna (Blake) their Mom Lori, special cousin Marcy, many great co-workers and friends, extended family, and his 7 feline companions. He is preceded in death by his parents Earl Jr. and Vi, his Grandparents, and several Aunts and Uncles.
