HOUSER, Edgar J. - age 91, of Naples, FL, formerly of Flint, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in Naples. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Pastor Anthony J. Artis officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 1-3 and 5-8 PM Monday and 10 AM until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105. Mr. Houser was born December 27, 1920 in Metamora, MI, the son of Raymond and Florence (Chatfield) Houser. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving during World War II. Mr. Houser retired from Buick Motor Division. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Mr. Houser resided most of his life in the Flint area and had lived in Naples the last six years. Surviving are: three children, Linda Edinger of Flint. Raymond (Paula) Houser of Flint, Terri (Don) Mattarella of Naples, FL; five grandchildren, Merica, Ian, Zachary, Alexis and Jacob; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jaelen, Nicholas and Evan; sister, Frances Gardner of Bradenton, FL; brother, Maxwell (Katie) Houser of Hillman, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Helen Houser;son, Edgar Houser; four brothers and three sisters.
