Edgar Ransley

RANSLEY, Edgar Dean - age 81, of Fenton, died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Jude Episcopal Church, 106 E. Elizabeth St., Fenton with Rev. Tracie Little officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will also be held from 11 AM - 12 PM Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Wounded Warrior Project. Mr. Ransley as born October 18, 1935 in Callawy, NE, the son of Edgar C. and Gladys M. (Preston) Ransley. He married Nancy J. Day on June 7, 1980. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed woodworking. hunting, fishing, music, especially the banjo, radio control planes and powered paragliding. Surviving are: wife, Nancy; seven children, Ellen Ransley of Holt, Mark (Trish) Ransley of TN, Shelley (Steve) Hrapkiewicz of TX, Julie (Leonard) Traskos of Fowlerville, Scott Ransley of Canton, Joseph (Sheryl) Ransley of Livonia, Ashley Ransley of Grand Rapids; 16 grandchildren; sister, Aleen (Frank) Pacifico of Clinton Twp.
