Edward "Sonny" Alten ENGLAND

ENGLAND, Edward A. "Sonny" - age 84, of Burton, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Redwood Manor Adult Foster Care Facility. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 7, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Pastor Larry Rednower officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Sunday and from 10 AM until service Monday. Sonny was born September 29, 1929 in Flint, the son of Edward E. and Phoebe (Alten) England. He retired from Buick Motor Division where he was a pattern maker. He loved fishing, working on his boat and cars, was an avid Tigers and Detroit sports fan and enjoyed woodworking and building and had built his own home and cabin. Family was the most important to Sonny. Surviving are: four children, Diana England of Mt. Morris, Pamela Jo England of the Upper Peninsula, Sandra Jean (Cliff) Aslin of Burton, Paul Douglas (John David Morgan) England of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Garrett (Stacie), Daniel (Kayla), Jason (Carly), Amanda (Jarred), Lindsey and Jordan; five great-grandchildren, sister, Jeanene (Leroy) Sells of CO. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Marjorie Anne (Fuller) England in 1998; his parents and his step-mother, Alice England.
