Edward David GLENNIE

GLENNIE Sr., Edward David, age 70, of Linden, formerly of White Lake, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Huron Valley-Sinai, Commerce. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Pastor Jim Weigand officiating. Visitation will be Saturday 1-8PM at the funeral home. Interment will be Monday at Holy Cross Cemetery, Alpena. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Edward was born September 20, 1942 in Alpena the son of the late George and Gladys (Kennenberg) Glennie. He married Gloria St. Andre in Alpena on August 21, 1965. Edward was employed by General Motors for 28 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed deer hunting and watching sports, especially football and baseball. Edward also loved camping and fishing. Surviving are his wife, Gloria; 4 children, Michele Herrington (Andy) of Holly, Edward Glennie Jr. (Ericka) of Waterford, Steve Glennie (Cheryl) of Byron, Chad Glennie (Marianne) of Ypsilanti; 5 grandsons, Josh, Justin, Brendan, Evan and Ethan; brother, George Glennie (Judy) of Alpena; special sister-in-law, Ione Daugherty (Howard) of Grand Haven; and several nieces, nephews, cousins. He was also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. The family extends special thanks to Odyssey Hospice for the professional care provided.
