MADSEN, Edward Leonard - Age 77, of Fenton, died July 29, 2018. Funeral mass will be held 11AM Thursday August 2 at St John Catholic Church 600 N. Adelaide Fenton. Father David Harvey celebrant.Visitation will be held 2-4PM and 6-8PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes 1000 Silver Lake Road Fenton. Visitation will also be held 10AM until time of mass at the church. A rosary will also be held 7PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment 9AM Friday August 3 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Edward was born December 18, 1940 in Manistee the son of Ray and Leah Wroblewski. He married Katherine Wicinski on January 20, 1968 in Manistee. Edward was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Jaycee's of Fenton. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Edward retired from General Motors Truck and Bus after 32 years. He was also a member of U.A.W. Local 598. Edward enjoyed golfing, and also played Santa for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Katherine of Fenton; daughter, Heidi Madsen of Fenton; sister, Bernadine "Dena" Thompson of Manistee; sister-in-law, Julie (Dave) Adamczak of Muskegon; brother-in-laws, Richard Wicinski of Manistee, Ronald (Judy) Wicinski of Brighton; several nieces and nephews and K-9 companion Flower. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Leah; brother-in-law, Pete Thompson. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
