Edward Lawrence OKOPIEN

OKOPIEN, Edward Lawrence - Age 87, died October 29, 2013. A memorial gathering will be held 4-6 PM Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. In lieu of flower, those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Edward was born November 3, 1925 in Chicago, IL, the son of Lawrence and Mary (Samsik) Okopien. He was a 1944 graduate of Central High School and earned a BA in Business Administration from Michigan State. Mr. Okopien was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He owned and operated Johnny's Moving and Storage for 24 years. Surviving are: nephew, Larry Okopien; special friends, John and Eleanor Karnes; several great nieces and nephews.
