Eileen Affrica

AFFRICA, Eileen Marie - age 79, of Linden, died April 4, 2023. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, April 10, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI 48430 with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held 3-7 PM Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Eileen was born January 18, 1944 in New Kensington, PA, the daughter of Ralph and Margaret (Blissel) Milberger. She married John Affrica on May 18, 1968. Eileen owned and operated a beauty salon for many years, and was also the business manager for Kandahar Ski Club and office manager of Fenton Home Furnishings. Eileen was an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for 44 years, participating in CCW, Cursillo, Marriage Encounters, and more. Surviving are: husband of 55 years, John Affrica; two sons, Rick Affrica and wife, Lara and Sean Affrica and wife, Patty. She was a loving grandmother to Benjamin and Ellyssa Affrica and Ashley and Alexandra Affrica. Eileen adored her grandchildren and nothing made her more proud than hearing about and sharing in their academic and athletic accomplishments, attending their sports and school events, and being a present and loving grandmother.
