Eileen Cecelia BENNETT

BENNETT, Eileen Cecelia - age 84, of Linden, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Caretel Inns of Linden. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Rev. William Donahue officiating. A private interment will take place at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Friday and 10 AM until service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Mrs. Bennett was born May 21, 1928 in Detroit, the daughter of Reginald Michael and Madalyn Frances (Hueft) Doran. She married John Bennett in March of 1947 and he preceded her in death in February 2011. Mrs. Bennett was a graduate of Wayne State University. She had been a substitute teacher in Garden City Public Schools and a realtor in the Detroit area for several years. She retired from Fenton Public Schools where she was a teacher at State Road Elementary. Mrs. Bennett was a member of St. Jude Episcopal Church in Fenton. Surviving are: four children, John Bennett, Jr. of Ann Arbor, Richard (Bonnie) Bennett of De Forest, WI, Madalyn (Randy) Tobias of Streamwood, IL, Hal (Julie) Bennett of Linden; 10 grandchildren, Eileen, Christina, Dan, Richard, Michael, Miranda, Abby, Jeremy, Kirk and Andy; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Laura, and Bridget; brother, Ronald (Jan) Doran of Dearborn Heights. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kathryn and two siblings, William Doran and Edyth Forbes. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
