Elaine M. Ross, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Wellbridge of Fenton. She was 81 years old.
Born on March 15, 1945, in Flint, she was one of seven children born to Lawrence and Pearl (Burleson) Fisher. On February 12, 1966 she married Russell Ross and together they spent a wonderful 60 years together, making memories and raising a family. Elaine retired from GM after working in data entry and payroll for 40 years with both Buick as well as EDS. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek and was a volunteer with the Altar Society. She was an avid bingo player, she was really good at sewing and crafts and made a lot of her own clothing. She loved to read and because of her husband and sons she became a big Detroit sports fan. Most of all she cherished her family, her husband, her children and especially her grandchildren.
Elaine is survived by her husband Russell Ross; three children son Brad Ross and his wife Heidi; daughter Julie Carr; son Brian Ross and his wife Sigi; four grandchildren, Nicholas Ross and his wife Caitlyn, Patrick Ross, Kasey and Avery Carr; five sisters, Kay Beaudoin and her husband Lee, Janice Sprague and her husband Darrell, Lin Dibble and her husband Doug, Nancy Keyes and her husband Mike and Anne Johnson and her husband Jeff; one brother Larry Fisher and his wife Debbie; as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek with Father Louis Ekka presiding. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of the mass. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
In honor of Elaine memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
