Howcroft, Elanor M., 93, of Fenton, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the service time on Saturday. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Charity of One's Choice. A Committal Service will be at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Elanor was born on January 23, 1926 in Nankin, MI the daughter of Ben and Isabella (Adams) Malen. She was married to her loving husband, Richard, on January 22, 1944. She retired from Burroughs Corp. in Plymouth, MI after 28 years of service. She cherished her family above all else in life. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, her time spent on Runyan Lake, and she was an avid crossword puzzle solver. She had a great sense of humor and a love for laughter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Elanor is survived by one daughter, Linda Rikard of Fenton; granddaughter, Sandy (Mark) Sage; great-grandchildren, Nick Sage and Megan Sage; great-great grandchildren, Victoria and Olin; special extended family of granddaughters, Cindy Evans, Tami Conner, and Stacie Rikard and their families; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Richard Howcroft on May 8, 2005; and special son-in-law, Olin Rikard on October 7, 2005. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Caretel Inns of Linden for the exceptional care and kindness extended to her and her family.
