Eleanor was born March 20, 1934 in Detroit, daughter of William and Margaret (Lane) Finlayson. She taught at Wayne State University and Wichita State University. She is survived by her sister, Joan; nephew, William G. Finlayson III; nieces, Patricia Slusher, Karen Goff, Catherine Clegg, Julia Buatti, Amy Finlayson; 5 great nephews; 4 great nieces and 2 great-great nieces.
