Eleanor Aldeane MESSENGER

MESSENGER, Eleanor Aldeane - Age 97, of Gaines, passed away on March 16, 2014 at her residence with her loving family at her side. Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow services at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, MI. Visitation will be 2-8PM on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the funeral home, with AM Legion Aux memorial at 7PM. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to Genesee County Humane Society, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary 294, or Genesys Hospice. Eleanor was born on February 2, 1917 in Flint, MI to Stephen and Maude Rossman. On April 16, 1946 she married Robert in Angola, Indiana. Eleanor in her early years worked at Hurley Hospital and A.C., She lived life to the fullest, loved to play scrabble and enjoyed long scenic rides. Surviving are: five children, Philip (Barb) Rossman, Sharon (Joe) Moran, Dennis (Lisa) Messenger, Brenda (Fred) Bell, Gary Messenger; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
