DERY, Elizabeth Anna "Betty"- Age 97, of Fenton, loving wife of the late Claude Jennings Dery, died November 21, 2013. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Monday, November 25, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Dwight Ezop celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:30-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass Monday at church. A Rosary will be held at 7 PM Sunday. Elizabeth was born March 7, 1916 in Lansing, MI. Elizabeth was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and Baker Business School in Flint. She married Claude Jennings Dery on November 8, 1941 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Flint. She worked many years as an assistant librarian at North Road Elementary School. Surviving are: four children, Fredrick and wife Margaret Dery, John and wife Rita Dery, Ronald and wife Barbara Dery, Mary Catherine and husband William Lambert; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude J. Dery; parents, Frederick and Florence Fromholz; brother, Robert Fromholz and his wife, Donna. Those desiring may make contributions to Great Lakes Hospice, Breast Cancer Society or St. John Building Fund.
