Elizabeth Irene (Carnegie) Schroeder

SCHROEDER, Elizabeth Irene (Carnegie) - Age 103, of Holly, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Elizabeth was born July 9, 1923, in Ontario, Canada, the daughter of James and Margaret (Streib) Carnegie. She had resided in Holly for the 10 years coming from Traverse City. She owned and operated vacation rentals in Houghton Lake and a motel in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the Eastern Stars and the Holly Moose Lodge. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling, going to the casinos, and collecting Antiques.

Surviving are: her children, William Schroeder of Holly and Pamela (Mike) Wallison of White Lake; grandson, Jeremy (Lindsey) Sanborn; great grandchildren, Corey Schroeder of Holly, Alec Chappel of Traverse City, Peyton Sanborn of Davison, and Cameron Sanborn of Traverse City; 1 great-great grandson, Maverick; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Carnegie; grandchildren, Sheri Schroeder and William Schroeder; and 12 siblings. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
