Ellen Silvers

Silvers, Ellen  Marie - Age 65, of Flint, died January 29, 2021. Private family services will be held with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel,  8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Ellen was born June 27, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of  Mendell and Beverly (Milling) Gordon. She married her high school sweetheart Michael A. Silvers on April 13, 1974.  Ellen worked at the Children's Office in Flint. She devoted her whole life to children. She loved animals and wanted to rescue every animal she could find.  Surviving are: her husband of 46 years, Michael; their three children, Dorothy (Ryan) Rockman, Allan (Rebecca) Silvers, Melissa (Ronnie) Sanders; grandchildren, Beth, Amber, Matthew, David, Luke, Jesse, Zachary and Nicholas; sisters, Marianne Gordon, Denise (Art) Syjud, Arlene (John) Dixon, Katherine Gordon; niece Kristina (Eric) Florence; nephew, Brian (Shelby) Syjud; best friend Julie Martin.
