Elmer "Al" E. Alexander, age 79, of Grand Blanc, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Al was born on November 14, 1946, in Flint, Michigan to the late Lyle & Viola (Goodman) Alexander. He graduated from Fenton High School, class of 1965. Al proudly served in the United States Army for two years, of which he was stationed in Germany 1966-1968. He was employed with Buick City for 32 years before retiring in 1999. Al also worked at Fisher One for 16 years and Mundy Fire Department for 15 years of which he served as Captain for 3 years.
After 25 years Al married his best friend and love of his life, Janine Schabel on March 22, 2025. Together they enjoyed travels to Florida, camping throughout Michigan with their camper and snowmobiling in the Michigan winter wonder land. Al adored his fur baby, Bella, who passed only a few months ago.
Al is survived by his loving wife, Janine Schabel-Alexander, step-son, Brett Coffman, step-grandson, Caleb Berry; brother, James Alexander; sisters, Phyllis Montague and Darlene Bales; nephews, Ronald and Donald and niece, Esther. Al is further survived by many other dear family members and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten. As well as many good neighbors who have visited and helped him greatly.
In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his, son, Christopher; brothers, Harold, Brian and Duane; sister, Hazel; nephews, Michael, James (Laura), great nephew, Jimmy; nieces, Connie and Bonnie and fur baby, Bella who passed suddenly.
