Elwood "Woody" Webb

Elwood "Woody" Webb, age 88, of Linden formerly Clinton Township, passed away peacefully in his assisted living room at Symphony of Linden on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Elwood's family will host a Life's Celebration Gathering at a later date. Woody was an extraordinary man who love everyone and in turn, was loved by all. He was a kind and gentle sole dedicated to his friends and family. Throughout his life, his greatest joy was helping others.

In 1958, Woody married the love of his life, Geraldine "Jeri" Krassa. They had a loving marriage and were blessed with three children. They welcomed their son, David, in 1959 who died shortly after his birth. They then welcomed their daughters, Karen & Donna. Together they made a close-knit loving family.

Woody had an unbelievable work ethic and worked until he was 70 years old. For many years, he worked for Hardware Spring in Detroit. After the shop closed, he worked for Lafferty Steel and then lastly ended his career at Profile Manufacturing in Clinton Township. After retirement he often said he wished he would have continued working.

In his later years, Woody enjoyed driving his car around town, watching the Detroit Tigers, gardening, feeding birds, doing puzzles and spending time with family and his friends at Michael's Kitchen. Woody especially enjoyed interacting with kids.

Woody is survived by his two loving daughters, Karen (Steve) Chmela and Donna (Time) Peters; grandchildren, Amy (Jim) Ney, Christopher (Gentry) Peters, Dana (Alan) Schmitt, Anna (David) Peters and Allison (Perrin) Peters. great-grandchildren, Inez Linux and Guy Peters-Millan. His is also survived by his sister-in-law, Evelyn Webb and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors in Clinton Township at Macomb Mall, Alex's Restaurant and his favorite, Michael's Kitchen.

Woody was preceded in death by his wife, Jeri Webb; his parents, Cully & Vinnie Webb; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George (Sophie) Krassa; son, David Webb; brothers, Alvis and Jack; sisters, Mary and Judy and sister-in-law, Tommy.
