McCarroll, Emily Ann - Age 81, of Flint, died Thursday, April 10, 2014. Services will be held 4PM Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Dean Meadows officiating. Visitation will be held 1PM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Emily was born March 30, 1933 in Grand Blanc, Michigan, the daughter of the late Fred C. and Loretta A. (Riegle) Burt. She married Verlon McCarroll in Paragould, Arkansas on July 13, 1979, and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2008. Surviving are: children, Michael (Gay) Burt of Arkansas, Burt Hampton of Grand Rapids, Terrie (Dennis) Burkes of Ohio, Sherrie (Duane) McKnight of Flint; step-daughter, Linda (Mylan) Hornak of Flint, step-son, Robert "Wayne" (Rita) Hampton of IL; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson ; brothers, Loren (Eleanor) Burt, Vernon (Bonnie) Burt of FL, Howell (Linda) Burt of Flint; sister, Loretta "Marie" Dosh of Flint; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by grandsons Nathan and Michael; great grandson Andrew; sisters, Doris and Judy; brothers, Leroy and Harold.
