Eric LaMont Lassiter

Eric LaMont Lassiter -- Age 70, passed away August 25, 2025. Leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and dedication.

Eric was born on June 2, 1955 in Washington D.C. the beloved son of Nora Lee Arnold and Gerald Victor Lassiter. He loved drums, jazz, and gospel music. He enjoyed watching action movies and boxing. His favorite book was the bible and the word of God. He was a Christian Man and always walked in Faith. He loved the ocean and enjoyed nature. Eric was always dressed in his best from head to toe and displayed positivity along with his infectious smile.

He retired as a pipefitter from Ford Motor Company. He moved on to a higher calling in helping others. He assisted in running recovery houses through the Farneww program and devoted himself to guiding men and woman on the path of recovery and sobriety. He sponsored many and offered strength and hope to those who needed it most. His unwavering support touched countless lives and his impact will be felt for generations.

Eric is survived by his children, Erica Lassiter, Julian Harris, Eric Junior Lassiter, Jacob Lassiter, non biological daughter Crystal Parker. He was preceded in death by his son Dywaine O'Conner.

He was a proud grandfather to Blake Wise, Jarrod Wise, Armani O'Conner, Kingston O'Conner, Seth Harrington, Eliana Bell, and Ethan Bell. He is also survived by his niece, Kendal Lassiter, and nephew Thomas Barnett. 

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and his sister Denise Barnett.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date and the family invites all who knew and loved Eric LaMont Lassiter to come together in remembering him.
