Erin Coffey

COFFEY, Erin - age 51, died Sunday, March 27th, 2016 in hospice care in her home in Fenton, surrounded by family. Erin was born as the 6th child of Jack and Venita Daugherty on January 9th, 1965 in Detroit Michigan. She lived in Birmingham during her early childhood, later moving to Byron for high school. She was married in 1985, and moved to Fenton shortly afterward. Erin attended Baker College, and worked for EDS during the late eighties, before giving birth to her first child in 1991. A long time Fenton resident, she was known for her enduring kindness, sharp wit, and great compassion. Erin was devoted to her three children, and donated much of her time to their school trips and activities. She later worked for the Fenton Area Public school system as a Special Education Aid. Erin is survived by her three children, Steven, Sam, and Emma. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, May 7th at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton.
