Esther May Alderman

ALDERMAN, Esther May - Age 89, of Fenton, passed away Monday, September 28, 2026. Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St, Fenton. Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Burial 1:30 PM Saturday October 10, 2026 at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Fenton United Methodist Church, Endowment Fund.

Esther was born August 1, 1937 in Flint, the daughter of Marshall C. and Celia I. (Smith) Warren. She was a 1955 graduate of Grand Blanc High School; and she received an associates degree in accounting from Baker College. She married Dale R. Alderman November 19, 1955 in Grand Blanc, and he preceded her in death June 21, 1999. Esther retired in 1997 from the Fenton Area Public Schools as the Financial Administrative Assistant. She was a member and the past treasurer and a choir member of Fenton United Methodist Church. She also was a former member of Fenton Area Business and Professional Women, Michigan School Business Officials, and Zonta Club of Fenton. She enjoyed reading, knitting, doing puzzles, and playing cards.

Surviving are: her children, Renae (Joseph) Jeffers, Douglas (Dani Lynn) Alderman, and Thomas (Sheryl) Alderman; grandchildren, Quinton (Liz) Alderman, Melissa (Josh) Johnson, Amanda (David) DeVries, Jordan (Ashley) Jeffers, Joshua Jeffers, Caleb (Molly) Alderman, and Ashley Alderman; great grandchildren, Rae Anna (Caden) Hess, Addyson Bismack, Estella DeVries, Gavin DeVries, Helena DeVries, Justin Jeffers, Nathaniel Jeffers, Kaitlyn Jeffers, Logan Jeffers, and Adalynn Jeffers; and great-great grandchild, Riley Alderman; siblings, Clare (June) Warren, Allen (Jean) Warren, and Duane (Diane) Warren; and several nieces and nephews.
