Eugene Thompson

THOMPSON, Eugene - Age 81, of Fenton, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at his residence. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will be at a later dat in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Eugene was born July 19, 1925 in Detroit the son of Gerald and Marie (Schuster) Thompson. After graduating from Hartland High School, he married Marjorie Cox in 1960 and she preceded him in death on March 31, 2005. Mr. Thompson was employed by GM Proving Grounds as a Supervisor for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He was a Belly Gunner in the Air Force during WWII. Mr. Thompson enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing. Surviving are 4 children, Connie McReynolds of Fenton, Bruce Thompson of Fenton, Melissa Thompson of Flint and Brent Thompson of Durand; 4 grandchildren, Scott, Miranda, BJ and Jeremy; 2 great-grandchildren, Shelby and Austin; brother, Gerald and wife Geraldine of New York and Florida; sister, Gloria and husband Russell Morton of Fenton. He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Tompson and sister, Patricia Hogan.
