CORCORAN, Evelyn Alberta -- Age 90, of Flint, died July 31, 2011. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, August 4 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Flint, Fr. Gary McInnis celebrant. Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint; and 10 AM until the time of mass at the church on Thursday. Mrs. Corcoran was born March 6, 1921 in German Township, PA, the daughter of James Albert and Ida E. Jolly. She was married to Joseph Edward Corcoran on March 6, 1939 in Masontown, PA. She had worked for Hamady Brothers Grocery Store. Mrs. Corcoran was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Flint most of her life. Surviving are: two daughters Margaret and husband William Lurvey of Swartz Creek, Marlene Fillmore of Flint; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother William Jolly of Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Corcoran; daughter, Carole Lynch; three grandchildren. The family extends a special thanks to Avalon Hospice.
