Evelyn Joan ST. JOHN

ST. JOHN , Evelyn Joan - Age 85, of Fenton, died February 26, 2014 at U of M Hospital, Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be 12 PM Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be 10 AM until time of service. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Evelyn was born in Flint on November 11, 1928, the daughter to Guy and Della Whitman. She had lived in Flint and Fenton her entire life. Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Ray St. John, whom she married on August 19, 1949. Evelyn loved spending time with her family and traveling. Evelyn returned to college after raising her children and graduated from Mott School of Nursing, becoming an RN employed at Hurley Medical Center. She was the devoted mother of Bruce Edward St. John and wife Sharon St. John, Lee Anne Harris and husband Robert Harris. Devoted grandmother to Sara St. John, Brett St. John, Marcie Anne Harris, Kali Anne Harris, all of Fenton, Bernal Clark III of Grand Rapids, MI. Devoted great grandmother to Devon Townsend and Zoe Clark both from Grand Rapids. Sisters, Shirley Dowling (Whitman) and husband Charlie Dowling, Sue Atkins (Whitman) and husband Ray Atkins. Brothers, Guy Whitman, deceased, and wife Charlene, and Jerry Whitman, deceased. Many loving nieces and nephews. Special companion and friend, Curt Kelley. Although Evelyn will be forever missed by her loving family and friends, her time with us has left a part of her with each of us that makes our life better.
