LICHNOVSKY, Evelyn Marie -- Age 92, of Flushing, died Monday, August 19, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 23, 2013 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1209 Coutant Street, Flushing, Rev. Clifford Bira Officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Evelyn was born November 8, 1920 in Merrill, the daughter of William and Elsie (Butzin) Thom. She graduated from Merrill High school in 1938. Evelyn married Charles Lichnovsky August 31, 1940 and they had 2 sons, James and Donald. James passed away February 18, 2002. Charles and Evelyn moved to Flushing in 1957. Evelyn worked at the A.C. and the Fair store both in Flint. She joined Holy Cross Lutheran Church in 1957, and served in several ways including, Board of Directors, Alter Care-Memorial Committee and President of the Women's group, and a Bible class teacher. She enjoyed oil painting and Quilting. She is survived by; son Donald Lichnovsky of Flushing; 12 grand children and 13 great grand children.
