Evonne was born on June 14, 1929, Cedar Springs the daughter of Leslie Ellick and Lillian (Myer) Farmer. She married the love of her life, Wilfred A. Landry, on August 1, 1947, and he preceded her in death June 15, 2003. Evonne dedicated more than 40 years of her life as a medical assistant and office manager in a doctor’s office. She was also a devoted volunteer at her church, Lady of the Lakes Methodist Church, and spent many years helping at a children’s camp. Many former campers stayed in touch with her throughout the years, a testament to the warmth and kindness she shared so freely.

She began her childhood without electricity or running water and ended her life paying bills online and FaceTiming with her family. She was always eager to learn and keep up with the times.
Evonne is survived by her daughter, Linda Cavanaugh; two granddaughters, Felicia (Kevin) Louth and Samantha (Kyle) Burris; and great‑grandson, Kenneth J. Cavanaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred; her son, Wilfred "Fred" Landry; and her grandson, Brian Cavanaugh. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Online condolences may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
