MUCHLER, Florence May - Age 81, of Byron, died Friday, August 23, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Nathan Jeffords and Pastor Oliver Albright officiating. Burial immediately following in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 6-8 PM and Monday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Byron. Mrs. Muchler was born August 19, 1932 in Flint, the daughter of Alfred and Sarah (Drew) Selves. She married Russell R. Muchler April 17, 1954 in Flint and he preceded her in death September 24, 2002. She had resided in the Byron area since 1954. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Byron. Mrs. Muchler enjoyed crafts and sewing. Surviving are: 3 daughters, Victoria and husband Tom Lockwood of Cohoctah, Jeanette and husband Gene Potter of Clio, and Laurie Anne Muchler of Owosso; Granddaughters, Amy Bush and Welcome Muchler; grandson, Trafton Muchler; great grandson, Trenton Bush; 2 sisters, Shirley Mulligan of Clio and Violet Porritt of Flint; 2 brothers, Ernest and wife Marrowee Selves of Burton and Edward "Ted" and wife Donna Selves of Flint; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by, son, Gary; her parents; 5 brothers, Leslie, Ronald, Robert, George, and Jack Selves; sister, Marjorie Ludwig.
